KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to hold consultations with other opposition parties amid soaring political temperatures in the country ahead of the PTI’s long march to Islamabad, ARY News reports.
According to sources, Pakistan People’s Party has decided to shun its dormant posture and to play an active role in the situation.
Former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will interact with the leaders of all opposition opposition as the political drama gradually unravels to reach its climax in Islamabad in the mid of August, sources said.
Moreover, PPP leader Rehman Malik has advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to avoid confrontation between the military and the people.
Talking to ARY News, Senator Malik said that the democracy will continue in the country after August 14th.
Replying a question about the possibility of the mid term elections, the former interior minister said that it depends on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
