PPP to battle poverty, hunger and social injustice if elected, Bilawal tells Uch Sharif

UCH SHARIF: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday said that his party will battle poverty, hunger and social injustice if it comes to power in the 2018 general elections, ARY News reported.

Speaking to a rally in Uch Sharif city of South Punjab, the PPP chief maintained that unlike other parties, his party doesn’t consider a person or party as its opponent but social injustice, hunger and poverty.

About the PPP’s five year tenure (2008-2013), he said that his father Asif Ali Zardari strengthened federation, did constitutional reforms and gave provincial autonomy.

Earlier, Punjab police briefly stopped Bilawal Bhutto from entering Uch Sharif and paying respects at the shrine of Makhdoom Jalal-ud-Din Surkh Bukhari.

The police later allowed the PPP chief to visit the shrine.
