Power breakdown hits Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport

LAHORE: A power breakdown took place at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on Tuesday halting all the operational systems and plunging the airport premises into darkness.

Because of the breakdown, operations of checking counters, computer system, baggage handling system and metal/ explosive detection machines have ceased functioning. Many lights along the runway also went off.

The airport management have set off all generators to counter the shortfall of electricity at the drome.
