The polling will continue till 5pm without any break. Six candidates are in the arena to contest for the seat.
A public holiday has been declared across the district in view of the by-election. Stringent security measures have been adopted by the authorities to prevent any untoward incident.
As many as 263 polling stations have been set up. While 60 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive and another 100 as sensitive.
The NA-218 seat had fallen vacant after death of Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
