Polish FM, Foreign Secy Aizaz Chaudhry discuss subjects of mutual interest

The Polish foreign minister was briefed by the Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Pakistan’s success in counter-terrorism as well as its economic recovery.

Both the figures discussed bilateral cooperation across a wide range of subjects, including defence production, trade and investment, and agriculture.

Pakistan looked forward to early finalization of the Agreement on Defence Cooperation. A Polish delegation is expected to visit Pakistan later this year in this regard.

The foreign secretary also apprised the Polish leader on Pakistan’s perspective on peace and stability in Afghanistan and relations with India.

Poland appreciated Pakistan’s counter terrorism efforts and expressed interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation and trade between the two countries.

Poland is an important EU member country for Pakistan. Both countries maintain cordial relations.

The current level of bilateral trade, which stands at US$ 330 million can be further enhanced.
