Arrest warrants issued for ex-chairman Senate Nayyar Bukhari

Civil Judge Islamabad, Jawad Hussain Adil issued the warrants for Bukhari for slapping the cop within the premises of Islamabad district court and threatening him with dire consequences, ordering the Margalla police to immediately arrest him.

Acting upon court orders, police reached the residence of the ex-chairman Senate on Thursday evening.  They were, however, instructed not to enter his house and arrest him only when he comes out.

Therefore, policemen have been keeping a close watch over Nayyar Hussain Bukhari’s house and all passages leading to it.

On Wednesday, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari had an altercation with the policeman who tried to frisk him as he entered the district court.

This led to a heated exchange of words, following which Bukhari insulted the security staff present, while his son Jarar Bukhari allegedly slapped the policeman.
