PESHAWAR: In a rare praise over measures for power sector improvement by Khyber Pakhtonkhwa (KP) government, State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said there was significant decline in line losses and power theft in the KP, ARY News reported.
Talking to media at Governor House Peshawar, the minister said [power dues] recovery had also immensely increased in the province. He thanked the KP government for making visible progress in this regard.
The minister said inauguration of Dasu Dam after successful nuclear tests was the biggest achievement of PML-N government. The dam will be inaugurated in November this year, he added.
Ali said the prime minister had allocated huge amount for improving electricity system in the KP, which will ultimately lead to reduction in load-shedding in the province.
