PML ‘pacifies’ Nisar, meeting with PM expected today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz delegation has successfully pacified the ‘disgruntled’ senior party leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, ARY News reported Wednesday.

The meeting between PML-N delegation and Nisar was held at the Punjab House. Nisar said he was not unhappy with the party leadership. “I am not discontented since I am a government representative. I will keep presenting my views,” he told the delegation.

Nisar, who holds the portfolio of Ministry of Interior, has not been attending key party meetings and National Assembly sittings for some time.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is due to land in Islamabad today, where a meeting PM and Nisar is expected. Punjab Chief Minister will also be a part of the meeting, sources told.

Sources said Nisar was unhappy with the PM as the latter did not consult him on major decisions regarding law and order. Similarly, the interior minister was also reportedly discontented with the Finance Minister Ishaq Haq for not being consulted over budget 2014-15.
