KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday forecast warm and humid weather in Karachi with maximum temperature between 34–36 degree Celsius.
Maximum temperature in the city and adjoining areas will remain between 34–36 degree Celsius on Tuesday and 35–37 C on Wednesday, according to the weather report.
Westerly wave is prevailing over central and north Balochistan, under its influence dust-thunderstorm with light rain expected in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kambar- Shahdadkot and Nawabshah districts of the province today.
The minimum temperature in Karachi will be 26.5 degree Celsius today.
The wind direction will be westerly turning to southwesterly in the evening, according to the PMD.
Met Office on Saturday predicted entry of a westerly wave in western part of the country on Sunday night and likely to persist till 20th April (Wednesday).
This weather system brings rain-wind/thunderstorm in Chaghi, Noshki, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Loralai, Mastung, Zhob, Ziarat, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad and Barkhan on Sunday night and Monday (today).
Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat, Potohar region, and several districts of Punjab including Lahore from 18th April (evening/night) to 20th April.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan from tonight to 21st April.
Dust storm/dusty winds and drizzle is expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Dera Bugti, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan.
