PM vows to rid country of 'problems' in three years

He underlined that reduction in rates of diesel had its carry over effects reaching the peasants. He was addressing a ceremony in Chiniot.

The PM congratulated the nation on discovery of mineral resources in Chiniot.

He termed less number of resources as reason behind the persistent electricity crisis. He went on to say that ‘premiership not an easy job’.

 

The Punjab government has successfully explored and documented a treasure trove of iron ore and copper in Chiniot.  Technical services of Chinese, German, Swiss and Canadian mining experts were sought to discover the resource.

The Punjab Mineral Development Company, created by the chief minister under the chairmanship of Dr Samar Mubrakmand with a professional board of directors, was entrusted this task in 2014.

The PM hoped that Pakistan will soon get rid of terrorism menace from its soil. Development and prosperity of Pakistan is our agenda and we will succeed in that, added Mr Sharif.

He also informed that Pakistan will import gas from Iran and Turkmenistan. He said Pakistan was facing several issues. The Prime Minister announced to generate electricity from Thar coal.

“Pakistan’s agriculture sector will also flourish,” he concluded.
