PM meets disgruntled party leader Mumtaz Bhutto in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Hyderabad on Monday (today) and met the disgruntled party leader Mumtaz Bhutto during his visit, ARY News reported.

The meeting between Bhutto and the PM took place at PML-N leader Rahila Magsi’s residence in Hyderabad.

The PM is set to address workers convention during his visit to the city.

According to reports, the prime minister will hold meetings with party leaders and workers besides addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also meet the delegations of local businessmen and Chambers of Commerce.

A delegation of Sindh farmers will also call on the Prime Minister, party sources said.

Rahila Magsi, a PML-N Senator from Sindh, has told the state radio that the Prime Minister is expected to announce Federal University, flights from Hyderabad Airport, establishment of 1000 bed hospital and special development package for Hyderabad.

The estranged PML-N workers held a demo, carrying a symbolic coffin of the party, before Hyderabad Press Club ahead of the prime minister’s Hyderabad visit, to record their protest.

The protesters chanted slogans to express their disenchantment with the local party leadership.

Political observers seeing with interest, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit of Hyderabad- the second largest city of Sindh- in view of the general elections in Pakistan scheduled next year.
