PM Sharif may be disqualified by December, claims Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has claimed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be disqualified by December, ARY News reported.

“I will stop giving predictions if my prediction does not come true this time around,” Rasheed said in an interaction with journalists.

The AML chairman said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders should have been in their respective constituencies ahead of the party’s Islamabad Lockdown call.

Rasheed added, “I had asked PTI chairman Imran Khan to shift to his Lal Haveli residence. He told me to reach Bani Gala residence with his rally.”

The Awami League chairman said that he was heading to Bani Gala when he came to know that PTI chairman had taken back his Islamabad protest call.

He went on to say that the verdict of the Supreme Court (SC) in the Panamagate Case will be accepted by the entire nation. Rasheed said that he and Imran Khan have a strong case.

Rasheed said that there were no differences between Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri. He also said that propaganda is created against the PAT chief.

He said that it is likely that Pakistan Army may arrest key officials under the Army Act 1952.

“The arrest of ex-information minister Pervez Rasheed was not suffice,” he said.
