PM says terrorist dens rooted out in the country

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that sacrifices rendered by state institutions have destroyed terrorist dens in the country, ARY News reported.

PM Sharif was addressing the National Seerat Conference in Lahore on Monday (today).

The prime minister urged Ulemas to play their role in curbing extremism in the country. He also said that they should lead the nation into becoming a modern Muslim country.

He said that whole world agrees that a constitution is necessary for a country to remain modern whereas respect for humanity is the first pillar of the society.

PM Sharif said that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) presented a charter of human rights to guide us on interfaith relations.

He urged the Ulemas and scholars to play their role in guiding the nation.

The prime minister stated that people were killed over difference of opinion. He also said that anarchy has gradually decreased due to the efforts of the government.

PM Sharif has said that extremism, whose foundations were laid by terrorists, has to be tackled.
