The prime minister took notice on ARY News report about stranded Pakistanis at Istanbul airport as all the flights had been cancelled.
“Special flights should be arranged if needed,” Nawaz Sharif said in a statement.
A Pakistani citizen stranded in Istanbul told ARY that they had been stuck at the airport for 16 hours along citizens of other countries.

Press Attache of Pakistan Embassy in Turkey Abdul Akbar confirmed that flights schedule at Istanbul airport had got disrupted; however flight operation was resumed now.
“There are 200 Pakistanis at Istanbul airport. We are trying our best to send them back home as soon as possible,” he said.
Stranded Pakistanis to reach home tonight
Turkish Airline has come forward to bring Pakistanis back, who are now scheduled to reach home tonight after 12:00am. The airline will also start emergency flights to Lahore and Islamabad as well.
While, one PIA Boeing 777 airline has left from Karachi for Istanbul as well, as most of the Pakistanis there are from Karachi.

Pakistan Embassy in Ankara and Consulate General in Istanbul have released emergency contact numbers for the assistance of the Pakistani community in Turkey.
