PM Khan reiterates govt’s resolve for business-friendly environment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his government’s commitment to facilitate investors from the business-friendly environment in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.

The PM said so, while talking to Chairman of US-based Young Presidents’ Organization Pascal Gerken in Islamabad.

Highlighting the huge potential of the country in diverse sectors of the country, Premier Khan said tourism is one the most attractive areas that has remained unexplored so far.

He said the government was focusing on to improving Ease of Doing Business and has introduced the most liberal visa policy, which is aimed at welcoming businesses and tourists across the globe.

On the occasion, Pascal Gerken briefed PM Khan about the vast network of Young Presidents’ Organization across the world serving in various sectors of economy.

He appreciated government’s policy of opening up the country to foreign visitors and investors.

Earlier in this month, Malaysian business group EDOTCO had decided to expand its business in Pakistan as the group has expressed desire of investing $ 2.5 mn more in the country.

The desire was extended in a meeting of chairman of the EDOTCO group with Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office.

The prime minister talking to the visiting delegation, welcomed their initiative of investing in Pakistan and said all-out efforts are being made to facilitate foreign investment in the country.
