ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday will lay foundation stone of a shelter home for orphans and street children in Lahore.
According to the details, PM Imran Khan will formally launch the shelter home project tomorrow to facilitate the orphans, street children, widows and homeless women.
The party sources said that at least five shelter homes will be constructed in different cities under the project.
During the visit, PM Imran will meet Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, governor and members of the provincial cabinet.
The sources said that he will also chair a high-level meeting and will be briefed over riots and vandalism during the protests, erupted after the apex court verdict in Asia Bibi case.
He will also consult with the provincial government to provide compensation money to the affectees of the protests. The provincial government will also brief the PM over 100-day plan.

The government, on September 11, had announced to introduce a special programme for street children to educate them and bring them into mainstream.
“Pakistan is currently facing various challenges in education sector however, the present government is fully cognizant of its responsibilities to resolve these challenges”, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood said.
The Minister was talking to a British delegation led by Mr. Thomas Drew, UK Ambassador to Pakistan, which called on him here Tuesday. Head of Department for International Development (DFID) Joanna Reid and Director British Council Pakistan, Rosemary Hilhorst were among the delegation. Federal Secretary Education, Mr. Arshad Mirza was also present on the occasion.
