ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister House and Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Political Affairs Naeem Ul Haque have denied rumours about replacement of portfolio of Fawad Chaudhry with Sheikh Rasheed.
Sources of the PM House said there was some hidden agenda behind spreading baseless reports of Fawad Chaudhry’s replacement. They said Fawad would continue his responsibilities as the information minister and he was not being replaced.
While, Naeem Ul Haq said there was no question on performance of the information minister and the rumours in this regard had nothing to do with reality.
“Fawad will remain information minister and Sheikh Rasheed railways minister,” he said.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Iftikhar Durrani has also disdained rumours about the information minister’s replacement.
Earlier, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has rejected media reports and said neither he had any difference with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry nor he was taking over his ministry.
To a query, if Sheikh Rasheed is taking charge of Fawad Chaudhry’s ministry, the former said, “Nobody is taking anything from anyone. Everyone is doing his best uptil now.”
On the other hand, the information minister in a tweet said he would be happy to vacate his position for Sheikh Rasheed, however it was the prime minister who decided who was best fit in the role.
