PM, COAS discuss overall security situation

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office in the federal capital to discuss the overall security situation in the country, ARY News reported.   

According to the details, maters of mutual interest, ongoing operations against terrorism and regional issues came under discussion in the meeting. 

Earlier in the day Pm Imran, stressing upon the need of population control, had said that religious scholars can play a vital role to control population growth in the country.

Addressing a symposium on population control at the Supreme Court, PM Imran had said that Pakistan needs inclusion of subjects of environmental protection and population planning in school curriculum.

He said that Chhota Kunba (a population control drive run in the past) was an effective movement to control the population but unfortunately it was dropped.
