LAHORE: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday underlined the need for preserving and maintaining the country’s rich architectural heritage for the future generations, reported state radio.
Speaking at inauguration of a conference here, the premier said the architecture reflects the cultural heritage of the nation.
On the occasion, he said it is a challenge for the present and future architects to take forward the legacy of quality construction, while asserting that the buildings of Mughal era enjoy a unique status.
He emphasized that the historic architectural designs need to be made visible again.
Moreover, he asked for taking into account the quality, standards and sustainability in the construction of buildings.
