PM Abbasi to represent Pakistan at World Economic Forum

DAVOS: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would lead Pakistan’s delegation at World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland.

The theme of the four day event, beginning on Tuesday, is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World”.

The meeting, spread over more than four hundred sessions, would call for leaders to work together to create a shared narrative that will improve the state of the world.

The Prime Minister’s delegation includes, among others, Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Health Saira Afzal Tarar, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Anusha Rehman.

State for Information and Broadcasting said majority of delegation members representing Pakistan at Davos Forum are women. She shows the importance being given to women by the Government of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Ms Aurangzeb said Pakistani delegation would highlight achievements made by Pakistan during the last four and a half years in the realm of economy, good governance, security, contribution and role of Pakistan in the war against terror and strengthening of democracy.

The Minister of State would participate in a number of activities at the World Economic Forum. These include media interaction, and sessions like Women Leaders Dinner, Shaping the Future of Health and Together for a Healthier World.
