Plea seeking PM’s name in ECL approved for hearing

A bench of the LHC after preliminary hearing removed the objection raised by the high court Registrar office over the petition and approved it for hearing.

The petitioner said in his plea that the prime minister visits foreign countries with his wife and stays in expensive hotels to overburden the national exchequer.

The petition further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have personal businesses in Turkey, UK and China and he visits these countries to look after his business on the government expense. It pleads for placing the name of the prime minister in the ECL.
