PIA needs well-envisioned business plan for revival: minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) needs well-envisioned business plan for revival.

The federal minister was chairing a meeting of special committee to bring structural reforms in the national airline and make it a profitable organisation.

Last week, the federal minister had directed the senior management of the airline to develop a comprehensive two-year plan for restoration by 26 January.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government is determined to bring back the lost glory of the PIA and make it an airline of choice.

The meeting was attended by minister Privatization Commission Muhammad Zubair, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar and Chairman Board of Investment Miftah Ismail.
