PIA flight emergency landing at Copenhagen couldn’t save passenger

LAHORE: A passenger on board Manchester-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight suffered a cardiac arrest, forcing an emergency landing at Copenhagen airport, ARY News reported.

A spokesperson for the PIA said the flight -701 was on its way from Lahore to Manchester when a passenger complained of chest pain.

He said while the flight made an emergency landing at Copenhagen airport, the passenger died before he could be rushed to a hospital for emergency medical care.

The body was shifted to an ambulance at the airport for onward transportation to a hospital and then the flight took off for Manchester.

The spokesperson said the deceased passenger was a British national and his family members had been informed of his death.
