TORONTO: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) airhostess was arrested in Canadian city of Toronto over thievery charges, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to details, the airhostess was allegedly stealing items in a department store in Toronto.
PIA spokesman confirmed that police has arrested the airliner’s airhostess on charges of thievery.
She was arrested with the help of CCTV cameras placed in the store.
The staff member had reached Toronto from Lahore via flight PK-797 and was scheduled to return to Pakistani city of Karachi via flight PK-784.
She was produced before a court in Toronto on Monday and was released after paying C$300 fine.
PIA spokesperson has announced that the airhostess has been prohibited to serve duty on international duty with immediate effect.
