ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has appointed Pervez Rathore as the acting Chairman of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) – ARY News reports.
Pervez Rathore will perform the duties as the acting Chairman of PEMRA, until a full-time Chairman is not appointed.
ARY News Islamabad Bureau Chief, Sabir Shakir told that Rathore was appointed as member PEMRA, while he has also been a part of the three-member committee, which could exercise the powers of Chairman PEMRA.
Yet, now the Government of Pakistan has made him the acting Chairman of PEMRA. Pervez Rathore is an ex-official of the police service group.
