LAHORE: As the date for CM Pervaiz Elahi’s trust vote draws closer, the opposition alliance is mulling over different strategies regarding the crucial Punjab Assembly session, ARY News reported citing sources.
A well-placed source informed ARY News that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is likely to reach Lahore tomorrow (Wednesday) to devise a strategy regarding Elahi’s no-trust vote.
The PPP supremo Asif Ali Zardari will meet with federal ministers and finalized a strategy to woo the disgruntled PTI leaders to abstain from voting on voting day.
In return, the opposition alliance – PPP and PML-N – will offer party tickets to candidates for next elections, say sources.
During his stay in Lahore in December, Zardari stayed in Lahore for two weeks where he held meetings with PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to form a joint strategy to defeat the PTI-led alliance in Punjab.
