Pervaiz Elahi moves LHC for details of cases against him

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President and former chief minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi has moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) for the details of cases against him, ARY News reported. 

As per details, the PTI president Pervaiz Elahi’s counsel Ishtiaq Ali Khan filed the plea on his behalf which stated that details of cases should be provided to Pervaiz Elahi.

Elahi urged the court to not harass him and his family members and the police should be barred from arresting him until the court provides the details of cases against him, the plea stated.

Furthermore, the court was requested to allow Perviaz Elahi to appear before the court if his arrest warrants are issued in any case.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been booked over ‘corruption’ charges by Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment.

The case against  Elahi was registered on the complaint of receiving Rs120 million as a ‘commission’ from an international company.

The charges further stated that during Elahi’s tenure as Punjab CM, the machinery of Rs3.10 billion was brought from abroad and the matters with the company were allegedly settled at 54pc commission.
