Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he will visit every nook and cranny of the country to strengthen his party and that no one could now keep him away from the people.
“Our mandate was always stolen, but the people will not turn their back on my mother and grandfather,” he said while referring to Benazir Bhutto and ZA Bhutto.
On the other hand, PPP central executive council (CEC) met today to ponder over the situation after yesterday’s speech of the former president, during which it demanded party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ‘to run for elections and join the Parliament’.
The CEC in a press release stated, “Asif Ali Zardari yesterday gave a statement against Pakistan Army, which has been termed as his personal”.
“It was announced during a meeting today that PPP believes in upholding the honour of Pakistan and its institutions, however, yesterday’s statement of the former president has been issued in his personal capacity,” read the press statement.
The CEC added a formal press release will be issued later which will outline a detailed stance of PPP on yesterday’s speech of the co-chairman.
