Peace and stability impossible sans curbing terrorism: Sharif

Pakistan’s prime minister was addressing a joint press conference here with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.

Sharif said that the two countries with joint cooperation will get rid of the menace of terrorism.

President Ashraf Ghani said that the terrorism have inflicted heavy losses to Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said the two neighboring countries are facing similar threats, which needs them to fight jointly against these threats.

Earlier, Prime Minister after his arrival in Kabul on Tuesday held one on one meeting with President Ashraf Ghani.

Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and other top officials also accompanying the Pakistani prime minister.

Nawaz Sharif exchanged views with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and discussed bilateral relations.

The two sides also held delegation level talks.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also called on Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.
