LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri on Thursday said that Sharif family did not appear before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) despite being summoned three times, ARY News reported.
Talking to media persons at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on his arrival from London after a brief stay, Qadri said that government took swipe at government representatives for making Panamagate verdict controversial.
Appearing optimistic on Ali Baqar Najafi Commission report, the PAT chief said that the courts will make the report public. “The decision on National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s cases against Sharif family should come within a month and the case should be heard on daily basis in compliance with NAB ordinance,” Qadri underlined.
Taking aim at state institutions, the PAT chief said that institutions have become weak in the country and remained incapable to ensure provision of justice to weakest segment of the society.
Coming down hard on Sharif brothers, Qadri said that anti-graft body served to notices to them to appear before its investigators but Sharif family did not show up. “It’s not easy for a common man to get exonerated from corruption charges by NAB,” he added.

On the other hand, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Ali Baqar Najafi commission report cannot be made public since the matter is in court.
However, he said: “Whenever the court deems fit to make the commission report public, it will be available for the public.”
Moreover, he opined that Qadri is using the Model Town incident for political means.
