Aftab Sherpao, in his address to the joint session of the Parliament in Islamabad, said that the parliamentarians have maintained the sanctity of the house.
He said whether the democracy teaches the protesters to attack the Parliament.
“Is it democracy that a president of a political party is expelled without a show cause notice”, Sherpao asked.
Sherpao also said that the protesters should forget about leaving Islamabad with the resignation of the Prime Minister.
“First become the opposition leader then demand the resignation of the premier. If they have evidences regarding alleged rigging in elections then present it. We will oppose such assembly as well”, he added.
“A picture of a police officer getting beaten up by the protesters is uploaded on a social media website”, Sherpao said.
He said that a joint session at Red Zone area of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek started just as the Parliament held its joint session yesterday.
He added that the journey of the two leaders of the protest began from London.
