According to Radio Pakistan, the defence minister said that the image of Pakistan had improved across the world due to the success achieved in the war against terrorism.
Asif said that the steps taken by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to defuse the tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran were praised at international level.
“Pakistan will stand by Saudi Arabia if there is any threat to the Arab country”, Asif said.
He added that Pakistan and India were both trying to trust each other and would take time.
