‘Pakistani hulk’ aims to challenge world’s top wrestlers

MARDAN: A man, who weighs over 430 kilograms and claims to be the world’s strongest man, wants to represent Pakistan at the world weightlifting competition.

Hailing from Mardan, Khyber Pakhtonkhwa, gentle giant Arbab Khizer Hayat has already been named Pakistan’s hulk man.

25-year-old Hayat says he aims to become a weightlifting champion.

In a recent interview, he said: “My aim to become the champion. I am thankful to God for giving me this body. It is a matter of time before I get into the world weightlifting arena.”

What does the giant man eat?

Hayat happily shares his daily diet plan and it is as fascinating as his massive build.

He consumes around 10,000 calories a day – a diet that includes 36 eggs for breakfast, 7lb of meat, five litres of milk and it doesn’t all stop here.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Hayat adds that he faces no health issues because of his phenomenal weight.

‘I don’t have any medical conditions nor do I feel uncomfortable with my weight. But I have to keep at it if I want to become a world champion strong man,’ he said.

‘I started gaining weight in my teens but I realised that I wanted to get into weightlifting and strongman championships. So I continued to put on weight,’ said Hayat.

Hayat claims that he lifted a weight of more than 10,000 lbs during a Japanese championship.

He said: ‘My immediate goal is to enter World Wresting Entertainment (WWE) competitions. I am looking to meet weight targets and I am consulting doctors to keep nutrition going.’

He understands that the wrestling has not much scope in Pakistan, but he hopes the situation won’t be the same in future.

Hundreds of locals arrive at Hayat’s home every day so that they can click selfies with the giant man.

‘I get a lot of love and admiration from the people here. But I dont want to stop here. I want to become a world star,’ he adds.
