Pakistan, UK agree to prepare roadmap to enhance cooperation

The understanding came at a meeting between Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond during talks in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Advisor on Foreign Affairs, during a joint press conference, said the next round of strategic dialogue between the two countries will be held in next few weeks.

Sartaj Aziz said both Pakistan and Britain share convergence of views on regional and international issues and committed to further enhance their multifaceted relations.

In his remarks, the UK’s Foreign Secretary, in his remarks said both the countries enjoy excellent relations spanning over decades.

He welcomed Pakistan’s efforts for reconciliation in Afghanistan and said during discussion the two sides deliberated as to how the international community to support the Afghan reconciliation process.

Phillip Hammond meets PM Nawaz 

The British official met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here in Islamabad on Tuesday discussed the bilateral ties and the overall regional situation.

The methods and ways to strengthen bilateral ties and relations in different fields such as trade and energy were also discussed by the Prime Minister and British official.
