Director General Military Operations contacted his Indian counterpart on hot line on Sunday afternoon and strongly protested for the unprovoked firing by the Indian troops at Nezapir sector targeting Pakistani posts and civilians after midnight today which lasted till late morning.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian Border Security Forces opened indiscriminate and unprovoked fire and bombardment at Nezapir Sector sector.
The mortars fired by the Indian border forces landed on the houses of civilians living at the border region. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
ISPR stated that the firing started from 2.00 a.m and lasted till 8.00 a.m. The Indian guns were silenced after a befitting reply by Pakistan Rangers.
Indian forces had also violated the LOC ceasefire by carrying out unprovoked firing in Nezapir Sector on 10th April .
