China and Pakistan had announced a plan for energy and infrastructure projects in April 2015 worth $46 billion, linking their economies and underscoring China’s economic ambitions in Asia and beyond.
The plan, which would eclipse U.S. spending in Pakistan over the last decade or so, is part of China’s aim to forge “Silk Road” land and sea ties to markets in the Middle East and Europe.
Regarding another burning issue of ID cards re-verification, the minister reiterated that stern action would be taken against those possessing fake computerized national identity cards (CNICs).
