Pakistan Navy successfully test-fires surface-to-sea missile

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy on Thursday successfully test-fired a new surface to sea missile, ARY News reported.

According to a spokesperson of the Pakistan Navy, the missile, equipped with modern technology and avionics, accurately hit the target in the sea.

The missile was tested in the coastal area of the country.

Vice Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Sadiq and other high officials of Pakistan Navy witnessed the missile test.

Navy spokesperson said that the induction of the missile would help strengthen country’s defence and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Navy.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah has congratulated the officers and the Navy personnel adding that the weapon system will add a new dimension to the operational jurisdiction of the Navy. He said that Pakistan Navy’s capability of launching surface to sea missile will further strengthen the national defence.
