LAHORE: Technical experts from Pakistan and India are meeting on Tuesday at the proposed zero points to discuss and finalize the Kartarpur Corridor alignment, ARY News reported.
The participants of the meeting will share information with each other regarding alignment of the corridor.
Four kilometer construction work of the Kartarpur Crossing is being done by Pakistan, while remaining work from Dera to Baba Nanak will be carried out by the Indian side.
Last week, during talks at Wagah-Attari border, both the sides had agreed to work expeditiously to complete operationalisation of the corridor.
Speaking to reporters at the Wagah border, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal who led Pakistani delegation in the talks said that the meeting was held in a very cordial environment.

He said it was agreed to hold the next meeting at Wagah border on the second of next month.
This will be preceded by a meeting of the technical experts on 19th of this month at the proposed zero point Kartarpur to finalize the alignment.
Kartarpur crossing
In November last year, Prime Minister Imran had laid the foundation stone for the corridor. Former Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, Indian Minister for Food Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Indian Minister for Housing Hardeep S Puri had attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan’s Punjab province holds religious significance for the Sikh community. It is where Baba Guru Nanak settled down after his travels as a missionary. He lived there for 18 years until his death in 1539.
