ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has sought France’s cooperation in peaceful use of nuclear technology and support for membership in the Nuclear Suppliers Group.
The desire was conveyed to France during a meeting in Islamabad on Friday to discuss issues related to nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
The French delegation was headed by Assistant Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs Nicolas Roche
, while Ambassador Tasnim Aslam represented Pakistani side,The two sides had a detailed and constructive exchange of views on a wide range of issues including emerging threats to strategic stability at the global and regional level.
