Mustafa Kamal, along with other members of the Pak Sarzameen Party toured the Bagh-e-Jinnah ground ahead of their public gathering on April 24. Speaking to media personnel there, Kamal said from henceforth till April; 24, party matters would be handled at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.
He expressed hope that his gathering would be a successful one.
“Allah has honoured us till now, I hope He will continue to do so in the future,” he said. Kamal also lashed out indirectly at MQM chief Altaf Hussain and senior leadership of the MQM.
“Due to a handful of people, we were stained with the label of target killers,” he said. “We will remove this stain of division and hatred by unifying people. Neither are we target killers nor are we terrorists,” he said.
Kamal also said that if he and his party were to fail, then the coming generation would also be labelled target killers. “We have seen enough destruction and bloodshed. Now, it is time to come out of our homes and eliminate this menace,” he said. “Those who have caused problems cannot provide the solution,” he said.
Mustafa Kamal also said that the safety of the people who would attend his political gathering was in the hands of the security institutions. He also appealed to the public for donations.
“The total cost of the political gathering has been estimated at Rs. 15 to 20 crores,” he said. “I would appeal to all generous people to provide us with donations.”
