Over 20 tailors fined for overcharging customers in Lower Dir

At least 22 tailors were fined Rs 5,000 each by Assistant Commissioner, Timergara, Mohammad Ayaz Mohmand, imposed for overcharging customers. The action was taken following public complaints.

The official directed tailors not to charge more than Rs 550 per suit.

The assistant commissioner, after receiving complaints about a number of tailors, raided different markets in Timergara city along with police and Dir Levies personnel and checked the charges of tailors.

Later talking to journalists, Ayaz Mohmand said the relevant officials would continue conducting raids in different markets to ensure tailors were charging government-fixed rates.

He appealed citizens to report to his office landline (09459250029) if they were overcharged by any tailor.
