ISLAMABAD: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan expressed his optimism that international community will play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute, ARY News reported on Saturday.
He was addressing a gathering of students at a university in Islamabad.
President Kashmir said that he hoped Britain will condemn human rights abuses being committed by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
He urged Britain, Norway and other countries to link their trade agreements with India to the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
The president encouraged students to raise the Kashmir issue on social networking websites to create awareness.
It should be noted that the law and order situation in the occupied territory has been tense since the killing of freedom fighter Burhan Wani by Indian forces.
Over 100 Kashmiris have lost their lives in clashes with the occupation forces whereas several dozens have been blinded by the use of pellet guns by the Indian troops.
