QUETTA: Unidentified armed men shot and killed three people, a levies forces man among them, on the provincial capital’s Sariab Road on Saturday.
According to rescue and police sources, unknown assailants opened firing at a vehicle of the paramilitary forces on Sariab Raod near Killi Bangulzai. As a result, the people sitting in the vehicle sustained fatal wounds.
After being informed of the firing incident, rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta where they succumbed to their wounds.
Quetta police said the assailants fled the crime scene unhurt after the attack.
Citing initial investigation, a police officer termed the incident an act of targeted killing.
Those killed in the firing incident have been identified as Anwar Ali and two brothers Najeebullah and Haseebullah.
