OGRA notifies increase in LNG prices for September

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday notified an increase in prices for imported Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) for September, ARY News reported. 

OGRA has increased the LNG price for Sui Northern System by $0.0283 while the price for the Sui Southern System has been increased by $0.0021 for September.

According to the OGRA notification, the new LNG price for SNGPL has been set at $17.47 per unit while the prices for SSGC has been set at $17.4762 per MMBTU.

Earlier in August, OGRA had set the LNG price for SNGPL at $16.94 while the price for SSGC was set at $17.47.

Earlier in August, the Federal Cabinet approved changes to the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Policy 2011 ahead of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Qatar.

According to sources, the federal cabinet approved the summary through circulation on an emergency basis as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Qatar next week.
