HUAIROU: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said One Belt and Road Initiative (OBOR) will be the new symbol of Pakistan-China friendship.
While touring the Great Wall of China in Huairou, the minister tweeted his pictures from the historical place and shared his thoughts about the prospects of the mega OBOR.
Qureshi wrote: “The Great Wall of China is a symbol of China’s triumphs and might. It has stood the test of time, much like the friendship between Pakistan and China.”
As China and Pakistan “chart new frontiers, the one Belt and Road Initiative will be the new symbol of our united triumphs and perseverance,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that the foreign minister is in China along with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
A high level delegation headed by PM Khan is visiting China to attend the second Belt and Road Forum.
Advisor to PM on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Railways Shaikh Rasheed, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda are also accompanying the prime minister.
