Speaking at the floor of National Assembly, Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif said Sindh government and subsidiary institutions have the highest amount to pay which approximately amounts to Rs 66.5 billion.
The provincial government of Sindh had earlier agreed upon paying Rs 9 billion, however failed to give the amount.
With defaulting Sindh on one hand, insurgency and poverty-stricken Baluchistan is also following suit.
Asif warned that provinces with non-payment will have to face power cut and advised them to pay the dues in order to avoid any disruption in power supply.
