No evidence to prosecute Hafiz Saeed: Basit to Indian journalists

Talking to journalists in New Delhi, Abdul Basit said there is a judicial system in Pakistan for the provision of justice. He told that the JuD chief, Hafiz Saeed was arrested, however no evidence was found against him.

Basit said that if somebody has any evidences against Hafiz Saeed, he should brought forth them.

Commenting on a meeting between

an Indian journalist and Hafiz Saeed, the Pakistani High Commissioner said it was a private meeting between the two persons and the Indian journalist, who met the JuD chief, was part of a 14-member Indian delegation to Pakistan.

Moreover, Abdul Basit mentioned that Saeed cannot be sent to prison without any evidence, only for the sake of pleasing someone.
