KARACHI: DIG East Amir Farooqui on Saturday assured father of Nishwa that action would be taken against all those suspects nominated by him in the case of administration of wrong injection to his daughter, ARY News reported.
Father of the victim, Qaiser Ali said he had given names of 10 persons including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader and owner of Darul Sehat hospital Amir Waliuddin Chishti and Ali Farhan.
“All that police could do in one week was arrest Mueez and release Sobia,” he rued.
Upon which, the DIG East said action would be taken against all those nominated in the case.
Amir Farooqui had arrived at Liaquat National Hospital to inquire Qaiser Ali about pressurizing of him by the owner of the hospital. He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar and the SSP Investigation East.
Nishwa’s father said he only wanted justice. Those could not be arrested as yet whom I had nominated in the case, he added.

Assuring of action against the culprits, SSP East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar asked Qaiser Ali to relay police if anybody gave him threat.
He said the victim’s father had been provided security over being pressurised and threatened.
Sources on April 19 had said the management of Darul Sehat hospital was pressurising Nishwa’s father for a compromise on administration of wrong injection to her daughter.
Nishwa was brought to Dar ul Sehat hospital last week where an overdose of Potassium Chloride had severely affected her brain, leaving her nearly brain-dead. She is currently under treatment at Karachi’s Liaquat National Hospital.
Sources had Amir Chishti along with another political personality had arrived at Liaquat National Hospital along with the hospital management to meet father of Nishwa.
