ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday directed Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to take strict action against the culprits involved in drug smuggling through Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger flight.
“The transparent investigation should be ensured in drug smuggling case till its logical conclusion,” he said while talking to Director General Anti-Narcotics Force Major General Musarrat Nawaz Malik on telephone.
The minister said culprits involved in damaging the image of the country outside Pakistan should be brought to justice.
DG ANF briefed the minister about the progress of the investigation of the case and said some arrests have been made in the light of investigation and further enquiry is underway.
Nisar also appreciated the role of ANF regarding investigation of drug smuggling case.
