Nawaz Sharif takes notice of guard’s torture on cameramen

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Monday took notice of the incident in which his guard subjected two cameramen to torture outside the Parliament House.

Expressing heartache over the incident, Nawaz Sharif condemned the torture on Syed Wajid Ali Shah, senior cameraman of a private TV channel.

The former prime minister said that he personally respect the media community and added that as he came to know about the incident he directed the party leaders to provide best medical treatment to the cameramen.

Nawaz Sharif said that they will take measure and will ensure that this sort of incident never happen again.

It is pertinent to mention here that two cameramen were subjected to torture by a security guard of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, when they were filming the PML-N supreme leader during his arrival at the Parliament house in Islamabad.

As per details, two cameramen belonging to private TV channels fell unconscious as they were tortured by the ousted prime minister’s guard outside the parliament house, when he reached there to attend party meeting.
